San Francisco 49ers principal owner Jed York was arrested over the weekend in East Palestine, Ohio, sparking major national headlines across the sports world.

Court records show York was initially taken into custody on suspicion of engaging in prostitution before prosecutors formally amended the primary charge.

York entered a plea of no contest to two amended misdemeanor charges: disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, resolving the legal matter quickly.

The court sentenced York to one day in jail with credit for time served, imposed $1,150 in total fines, and ordered him to complete an online educational course.

As part of the plea resolution, York agreed to forfeit $160 in seized cash to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force while receiving his phone back.

The arrest occurred near York's hometown of Youngstown, Ohio, where his family originally built their business foundation prior to taking control of the 49ers.

Neither the NFL league office nor the San Francisco 49ers organization have released official statements regarding potential personal conduct policy reviews.
